Hire Social Media Specialists

A company social account usually fails quietly. Posts go out when someone remembers, comments sit unanswered for a week, and the person who knew the password has left. Nothing dramatic happens. The account simply stops being useful to the people who follow it.

The specialist you hire plans and publishes on a schedule you approve, answers the public in your voice, and reports to you. The profiles and pages stay under your ownership. Access is given through the role settings of each platform, so no password needs to be shared.

The work

What a social media specialist takes off your desk

Six activities fill most weeks. If you need something different, describe it and we will tell you whether it is within our reach.

  1. Content calendar

A month of planned posts per platform, each with its purpose, format and owner, agreed with you before anything is scheduled. Room is left for news that cannot be planned.

  2. Writing and producing posts

Captions, carousels, short video edits and image layouts made from your own material: products, staff, premises, customer questions. Stock imagery is a last resort.

  3. Publishing and scheduling

Posting at agreed times in the correct format for each platform, with alt text on images, captions on video and links tagged so that visits can be traced in analytics.

  4. Community replies

Answering comments and messages using responses you have approved, and passing complaints, sales enquiries and anything sensitive to a named person on your side.

  5. Profile housekeeping

Correct names, categories, opening hours, links and contact details on every profile, plus a check of who holds admin rights and removal of those who should not.

  6. Reporting

A monthly summary of reach, engagement, link clicks and enquiries traced to social, with a note on which posts worked, which did not, and what changes next month.

Seniority

Seniority for social media work

The levels differ in how far you can trust the person to speak for the company without checking each word first.

Junior

Schedules approved posts, resizes artwork, drafts captions for review and collects the monthly figures. Does not reply to the public without an approved response.

Choose when: someone on your side approves every post and handles replies.

Mid-level

Plans the calendar, writes and publishes, answers routine comments and knows when to escalate. Reads the analytics and adjusts the plan.

Choose when: your tone and topics are established and you want the accounts run reliably each week.

Senior

Defines the voice and the rules for replying, decides which platforms to use or leave, and handles a public complaint calmly. Coordinates with sales, support and paid campaigns.

Choose when: you have no social media policy, the brand is sensitive to public criticism, or several people post with no one in charge.

Getting started

Setting up, step by step

  1. Describe the accounts

Tell us which platforms you are on, who posts at present, and what you want the accounts to do for the business. Links to the profiles are enough to begin.

  2. Meet the person proposed

We introduce one named specialist with a profile and examples of their writing. You speak to them, and may ask for someone else.

  3. Two weeks of content first

A contained first task: a fortnight of posts planned and drafted for your approval. It shows voice, care and design sense before you decide on more.

  4. Regular publishing

Posts are published from your own profiles, which stay yours, using roles you grant and can withdraw. You receive a weekly summary and are invoiced monthly.

Straight talk

Would a social media specialist help you?

We are a good choice when

  • Your accounts exist but posting is irregular and messages go unanswered.
  • You have plenty of real material, such as products, projects and staff, and nobody to turn it into posts.
  • You want one person accountable for what is published and when.
  • You are an agency that needs social media management supplied under your own name.

Look elsewhere when

  • You want a promised number of followers, likes or viral posts. Audience growth depends on the platforms and the public, and we will not buy followers or engagement to fake it.
  • You expect social media alone to produce sales quickly. For most businesses it supports other channels and rarely replaces them.
  • No one on your side can approve content or answer questions about the business. A specialist cannot invent your news.
  • You need someone on location to film and photograph every week.
Questions

Social media: the practical questions

Can you promise follower growth?

No. Platforms change how posts are distributed without notice, and people follow accounts for their own reasons. We commit to a schedule, to careful work and to honest reporting. We never purchase followers, likes or comments.

Who owns the profiles?

You do, always. We are added through the role settings each platform provides, such as Meta Business Suite access or a LinkedIn Page admin role. When the engagement ends you remove the role and nothing else changes.

Does every post need our approval?

That is up to you. A common arrangement is to approve the monthly calendar in one sitting and allow routine replies from an agreed list. Anything outside the list waits for you.

What happens when someone complains publicly?

The specialist acknowledges the comment using wording you have approved, then passes the details to the person you nominated. We do not delete criticism or argue in public on your behalf.

Do you run paid social adverts as well?

Boosting a post can be handled within this role. Full campaign management with audiences, tracking and budgets is a different skill, covered by our PPC specialists.

How do we stop?

The arrangement renews monthly. Tell us ahead of the next month and remove our roles from your pages. You receive the calendar, the artwork files and notes on anything still scheduled.
