Partnership Programme

Agencies come to us for different reasons. One needs developers behind its designers. Another has a client asking for an app it cannot build. A third simply wants somewhere reliable to send enquiries it has to decline.

The partnership programme is the name for how those relationships are set up. It is not a scheme with badges and levels. It is a written agreement between two companies, a first small job to test it, and a regular conversation afterwards.

Beginning

How a partnership begins

  1. An introductory call

You explain what your agency sells and where it lacks capacity. We say what we can and cannot cover.

  2. Agreement in writing

Confidentiality, ownership of work, non-solicitation and commercial terms are set down and signed by both sides.

  3. One small job

A real piece of work, modest in size, so each side sees how the other communicates under a deadline.

  4. A review

After that job we discuss what went well and what did not, and adjust before anything larger is taken on.

  5. Regular work

Briefs arrive as you have them. A named contact on our side knows your agency and its preferences.

Models

Three ways to work together

White label

We produce the work and your agency delivers it as its own. Your client has no dealings with us. You are billed for our hours and set your own price.

Referral

You introduce a client and step back. We contract with them directly. Whether anything is paid for the introduction, and how much, is settled with each partner in writing.

Joint delivery

Both companies are visible to the client, each responsible for a stated part, for example your strategy and design with our engineering.

Terms

Put in writing

No standard commission table exists, and none is published here. Every partner agreement covers the points below.

  1. Whose client it is

Clients you bring remain yours. We undertake not to approach them or accept work from them directly without your consent.

  2. Who owns the work

Code, designs and documents pass to your agency or to the end client, as your own contract requires.

  3. What is confidential

Client names, prices, briefs and the existence of the partnership itself, if you want it kept private.

  4. How we are paid

For engineering, QA and design, hourly at the published rates. For marketing, a fee quoted per engagement. One invoice a month.

  5. How either side leaves

Work in progress is finished or handed over, access is withdrawn, and obligations of confidentiality continue.

Straight talk

Would we make good partners?

Probably, if your agency

  • Has clients already and knows what they ask for.
  • Is comfortable with a team working India hours, with agreed overlap.
  • Wants terms written down before work begins.
  • Will give frank feedback after the first job.

Probably not, if your agency

  • Is looking for a published commission scale.
  • Wants us to find clients for it.
  • Needs a partner with offices in its own city.
  • Expects a promise of profit from reselling our work.
Questions

Asked on the first call

Is there a fee to join?

No. There is nothing to join in that sense. You pay for work you commission.

What commission do you pay on referrals?

We do not publish a figure, because it is agreed separately with each partner and recorded in the agreement.

Will you sign our agreement instead of yours?

Usually, yes. Send it over and we will read it. If a clause conflicts with how we work, we say so before signing, not after.

Can we use more than one model?

Yes. An agency may white-label web builds and refer app enquiries, for example. Each arrangement is named in the agreement so nobody is unsure which applies to a given client.

Is there a minimum volume of work?

Not for project work. A retainer, if you choose one, starts at 40 hours a month.

Can we say the team is ours?

Under the white-label model, yes, and our people will act accordingly. We ask only that nothing untrue is said about their location if a client asks directly.

Do you work with agencies outside India?

Yes. Engineers work India time and overlap hours are fixed with each partner.
