IT Support and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)

IT support workspace

An annual maintenance contract should tell you three things: what is covered, how fast someone responds, and what it costs when something falls outside the scope. Ours puts all three in writing.

What an AMC can cover

  • Websites and online stores — updates, security patches, backups, broken-page fixes.
  • Business software — bug fixes, small changes, and keeping it compatible as systems around it change.
  • Servers and hosting — patching, monitoring, backup checks. See hosting and servers.
  • POS systems — support for counters and branches. See POS software.

What the contract states

  • The systems covered, listed by name.
  • Support hours, and how to reach us: phone, WhatsApp, email or ticket.
  • Response times by severity, agreed with you before signing.
  • A monthly allowance of change hours, and the rate beyond it.
  • A monthly report: what was done, what was found, what we recommend.

Remote and on-site

Support is delivered remotely as standard, which covers almost all software, website and server work. If you need someone on site, tell us your location at the start and we will say plainly whether we can provide it there.

Taking over an existing system

Many clients come to us with software another supplier built. We start with a paid review of the code, the servers and the backups, and give you a written report of what we found before either side commits to a contract.
