White Label App Development
A client who trusts your agency with their website will sooner or later ask for an app. Turning them away sends them to a competitor. Accepting without mobile engineers on staff is how agencies end up with a late project and a one-star listing.
There is a third option. Your agency sells and manages the project, and our mobile engineers build it under your brand. The client deals with you alone.

Kinds of app we build for agencies
Companion to a website
The shop, booking system or membership area your agency already built, brought to a phone through the same API.
Staff and field tools
Inspection forms, job sheets and stock counts that work without signal and synchronise later.
Loyalty and ordering
Stamp cards, push offers and order-ahead for cafes, salons and small chains.
Event and community apps
Schedules, tickets, speaker pages and notifications, reusable from one year to the next.
Prototype for a pitch
A clickable build on real devices that helps your client raise funds or win internal approval.
Rescue of a stalled app
Taking over code from a previous developer, getting it to compile, and clearing store rejections.
Frameworks and services
One shared code base covers most agency projects. Native code is used where the device features demand it.

Stages of an app project
Discovery under your name
A paid study producing screens, a feature list and an hour estimate, written up on your letterhead if you wish.
Design
Your designers produce the screens, or ours do so to your brand guidelines.
Fortnightly test builds
A new build reaches your testers every two weeks through the store testing channels.
Store submission
Listing text, screenshots, privacy declarations and the review itself, handled through the client's developer account.
Updates
Operating system releases each year require maintenance. It can be covered by a small monthly retainer.
Who holds what
Apps outlive agency contracts. Getting ownership right at the start avoids an awkward transfer later.
Developer accounts
The Apple and Google accounts are registered by the end client, in their legal name. We are added as users with limited roles.
Signing keys
Certificates and the upload key are stored in the client's or your agency's password manager, not on a developer laptop.
Source code
Committed to a repository your agency controls from the first day.
Back-end services
Cloud projects, push notification keys and analytics are created under the client's or your login.
Listing and reviews
Store description, screenshots and replies to user reviews are published from the client's account, in wording your agency approves.

Before you quote your client
Will the app be approved by the stores?
Approval is decided by Apple and Google, so nobody can promise it. We build to their published guidelines and correct anything a reviewer raises.
Does your name appear anywhere?
No. The listing shows the client as publisher, the code and documents carry no mention of us, and we stay away from your client unless you ask us to join a conversation.
Flutter or native?
Flutter or React Native suits most business apps and keeps one code base. Native is worth the extra hours for heavy use of camera, Bluetooth or background processing.
How should we price it to the client?
The price to your client is set by you. We give you our hours and rate, and what you charge on top is not something we advise on or predict.
Can the app reuse the website we built?
If the site exposes an API, the app can share its accounts, products and content. If it does not, the API has to be written first, and that belongs in the estimate.
What does the client pay the stores?
Apple and Google each charge for a developer account, and both take a share of digital goods sold inside an app. Those fees go from the client to the store and are separate from our invoice.
Who tests on real devices?
Our QA engineers test on a range of physical phones and tablets, and your team and the client test through the beta channels before release.
Tell us what the client asked for
A paragraph and any sketches will do. If an API already exists, mention it. You get a response within one business day.
