Digital Marketing

Most marketing budgets are spread across too many channels and measured on too few. A business runs search ads, posts on three networks and sends a newsletter, and nobody can say which of them produced the enquiries that arrived this month.

We begin the other way round. First we make sure an enquiry or a sale can be traced to its source. Then we pick one or two channels that suit what you sell and how your customers buy, and we run those properly before adding another.

No agency controls search engines, ad auctions or what your customers decide. We cannot promise rankings, traffic, leads or sales, and we do not. What we commit to is the work, the reporting, and telling you when a channel is not paying for itself.

Measurement first

The first month

Before any campaign is touched we find out what your numbers can and cannot tell you.

  1. Tracking review

We check what your analytics records today: which form submissions, phone calls and purchases are counted, which are counted twice and which are missed altogether.

  2. Repair

Conversion events are rebuilt in Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, with consent handling that matches the law where your customers live.

  3. Baseline

We write down where enquiries come from now and what each one costs, as far as the data allows. Gaps are stated as gaps and not filled with estimates.

  4. Channel plan

One or two channels, a monthly budget, and what we expect to learn in the first quarter. You approve the plan before any money is spent.

Choosing channels

Which channel suits which business

Every channel has a kind of business it serves well and a kind it wastes money on.

Search optimisation

Suits businesses whose customers search for the product by name or by problem. Slow to start, and the pages keep working after the invoices stop.

Paid search

Suits clear and urgent demand: an emergency repair, a software comparison, a part with a model number. The visits end on the day the budget ends.

Paid social

Useful when people do not yet know they want the product and a picture or short video can show it. Weak for services bought once a decade.

Email

The cheapest way to sell again to people who have already bought. Worth nothing without a list collected with consent.

Content

Suits long buying decisions where the customer reads before ringing. It needs time from your own experts, which is often the real cost.

Organic social

Good for staying visible to people who already follow you. On most networks, reach beyond them is small unless you pay for it.

Deliverables

What the work leaves behind

If we part company, these stay with you and keep working.

  • A tracking document listing every conversion event and where it fires
  • Dashboards in Looker Studio under your own Google account
  • Administrator access to each account, held by you from the first day
  • A monthly report written in sentences, not only charts
  • A log of each change made to campaigns and pages
  • A plain note of what was tried and did not work
Straight talk

Is an outside marketing team right for you?

It tends to work when

  • You can say what a new customer is worth to you, even roughly.
  • Someone on your side can approve copy and answer questions each week.
  • Your website can take an enquiry or an order without breaking.
  • You are prepared to give a channel a few months before judging it.

It tends to disappoint when

  • You need sales next week to keep the business open.
  • The product or the price is the problem; promotion fixes neither.
  • You want a promised number of leads written into the contract.
  • Nobody in the business will answer the enquiries that arrive.
Questions

What people ask first

How much should we spend?

That depends on what a customer is worth and how crowded your market is. We prefer to start small, learn what an enquiry costs, and raise the budget only when the figures support it.

Who owns the accounts?

You do. Ad accounts, analytics properties, Search Console, the email platform and social profiles are opened in your name with your billing details. We work as invited users and you can remove us at any time.

How soon will we see results?

Paid channels produce data within weeks. Search optimisation and content take months. We give no date for results because we do not control the auction, the algorithm or your competitors.

Do you handle every channel yourselves?

Search, paid media, content and email are handled by our own people in India. Where a job needs a skill we lack, such as print or television buying, we say so.

What if it does not work?

Then the weekly summaries will have shown it early. The arrangement runs month to month, so you can stop, and everything built remains in your accounts.

Can you work alongside our own marketer?

Yes. We agree who does what in writing, use the task board your marketer already uses, and send one invoice a month.
